G'day,
I'm Josh Keogh, and this blog is being maintained for the Information and Content Management course - 3623ICT. I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Information Technology, but I'll be switching to the Bachelor of Software Engineering next year. I'm currently in the second semester of my first year here, but with credit from TAFE I should complete my degree by about 2016, assuming no exigent circumstances arise.
After I graduate, I'll probably go on a working holiday in Europe for a year, after which, I'm thinking of studying another, more science-based degree. I have no particular preference as to a career path, especially given the time between now and then, although I'll probably tend towards a field of technology-based research.
This course evidently pertains to the management of content and information; more specifically, the evolution of the web and its role in conveying information. To be able to properly organise one's content is paramount to ensuring its usefulness; as such, I'd like to be able to leave this course with the ability to portray large amounts of important information in a logical manner, and such that it is easily accessible.
I've never maintained a blog as I've no important subjects on which to divulge, however, I am pro-lateral and can see the purpose and usefulness of one.
